REFLECT: The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship: Romans 8:15
APPLY: Fear of Loss, Fear of Failure, Fear of Rejection, Fear of the Unknown – the Ugly Four.
Fearmates that intimidate you with specific and nameless fears. Interlopers that seek to be your constant companions.
They are spiritual bullies that deflate, are rendered powerless, and – ultimately – flee, when you call their bluff and get up in their face – transcendently – saying, “what can you do to me – the Lord is my defender [Psalm 27:1-3].
I resist you in the Name of Jesus, so GET BEHIND ME, spirit of fear….!!!!”
They may try again, but the bluff will only work IF you let it – you merely need repeat what you did previously to slap the foul critters away.
Remember, you’ve been equipped with: Power. Love. A sound mind. (2 Tim 1:7).
Shake off the critters. You’ve got this.
PRAY: Lord you are my light and my salvation, I shall not give in to fear. Lord you are the stronghold of my life, help me to not be afraid. When fearful thoughts advance seeking to intimidate me and to confuse me, it is the fearmates, not I, that will stumble and fall, so I resist the spirit of fear in the Name of Jesus! I will be stubborn in this Father: that no matter how intense the onslaught, I will stand firm against fear by clinging to you. My victory over fear is inevitable when I resist through you. Thank you my Lord and Defender. Amen.
